# Work on tickets, time and client reports from Claude

Navbatly has an MCP server, so Claude or any assistant that supports MCP can find and update tickets, log time, ask clients for what you need and send reports, with the same permissions you have in the app.

## Ask in your own words

The assistant reads your tickets, contracts and reports through Navbatly's tools, and makes changes through the same rules as the app. It can only see the teams you belong to and do what your role allows.

Ask it to clear a backlog of small updates, to draft the client lines for the month, or to tell you who is still waiting on whom.

Things you can ask:

- "What's still waiting on clients, longest first?"
- "Ask Maya at Harbourline for the homepage copy on HBL-21."
- "Log 45 minutes of delivery on HBL-24 for yesterday."
- "Write a plain-English summary for each ticket we resolved in October."

1. **Add the server.** In Claude, add a custom connector with the address `https://navbatly.com/mcp`; in Cursor, add it to `mcp.json`. Any app that supports MCP with sign-in works the same way.
2. **Sign in to Navbatly.** Approve the connection with your Navbatly account. There is no API key to copy or keep safe.
3. **Ask.** Name a team or let it use your current one, and ask for what you need.

## Questions about the AI assistant

### Which assistants work with it?

### Can it do more than I can?

No. It acts as you, in the teams you belong to, with your role's permissions. A member's assistant can't change contracts, for example.

### Do I need an API key?

No. You sign in to Navbatly when you connect it, and you can disconnect it at any time from the assistant.

### How does it refer to tickets and clients?

By the names you use in the app: ticket numbers like HBL-21, and clients and projects by their short name, like harbourline-hotels. Never by internal database ids.
